Mangaka's Tools: Paper

Hello everyone , continuing with  a more in dept explanation of the tools needed to make manga that I began in the "Tools for Making Manga" post, for today I will be talking about  one of the most important tools for making Manga.

The Paper

This is one of the tools that a Mangaka or anyone in the artistic field will use quite a lot.

Usually a lot more than this

But not all the types of paper are good for making Manga, for example we need to consider the size and thickness of the paper. Usually it's recommended an A4 size of paper or bigger, but that would depend on the skill and time you have to invest in a single drawing.

Other things to consider, if like us, you will be using Nib pens to ink your work before applying the digital  touch and effects, is to use a type of paper that would let the ink run smoothly.

Sadly the professional type of paper is a bit expensive, and the amount needed might be to much for a young aspiring Mangaka. What we usually recommend  if you can get your hand on this type of paper, is to save them only for  inking a special part of your Manga like covers, colored pages, double pages or anything that you would like to put special details on.

If you would have any more questions regarding the types of paper, prices or where to get them, we welcome you to leave it in our comment section down below.
This is Kyou wishing you all a nice day and be sure to check DMS for more Doujins and Tools.
